One of my new favorite Ninja Creami ice cream recipes is salted caramel Oreo ice cream!
The sweet, slightly salty flavor of the caramel combined with the Oreo cookie is a perfect match. And if you think about it, adding Oreos to anything always makes it better!
Growing up, I was always a fan of vanilla over chocolate. Cake, ice cream, any type of dessert, I always preferred vanilla over chocolate. However, there is something about a classic Oreo that can't be beat (not even by a golden Oreo).
One of Alex and I's favorite date nights is going to Walmart, buying a pack of Oreos, and just driving around while we eat a few. Not the whole package, of course, but sometimes we over-indulge a bit because they're just too good!
In order to make this extremely delicious Ninja Creami ice cream, we used a caramel dip found at our local Aldi. Usually we find it in the fall, but we've seen it other times of year too. It's basically something you would dip your apples in to eat. But, if you can't find it in stores, this caramel dip from Amazon would also work just as well!
Since we added caramel dip to the ice cream base, the resulting ice cream may not come out as hard as usual after the initial spin. In order to achieve a harder texture, just put the ice cream back in the freezer for a few hours before enjoying! The extra wait is tough, but the result is worth it.
So if you're looking for a salty and sweet treat, grab some caramel dip, Oreos, a Ninja Creami pint, and get spinning!
While the Ninja Creami is a machine with only 7 (or 11) buttons, it can still be intimidating! Here are a few tips and tricks Alex and I have picked up since beginning our ice cream journey with the Ninja Creami!

Salted caramel Oreo ice cream is the perfect balance of salty and sweet! By using caramel dip and regular Oreos, this ice cream is easy and delicious.
To make this recipe in the Ninja Creami Deluxe, multiply all ingredients by 1.5
Note: 1 serving = 1 pint
Place 1 tbsp cream cheese in a medium bowl and microwave for 5-10 seconds. If the cream cheese was in the fridge, these 5-10 seconds in the microwave will help soften it up to mix well with the other ingredients.
Combine cream cheese with 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1/3 cup granulated sugar. Whisk until the ingredients are mixed together.
Slowly whisk in 1/2 tsp of salt, 1 cup whole milk, and 3/4 cup heavy cream.
In a small bowl, microwave 2 tbsp caramel dip for 10-15 seconds. This will allow it to mix in easily with the other ingredients.
Whisk the 2 tbsp caramel dip into the main ingredient bowl. Ensure it is fully mixed together with no chunks of caramel.
Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container, ensuring it does not go over the max fill line.
Freeze the pint for 24 hours, making sure it is placed on a flat surface in the freezer.
After 24 hours, remove the pint from the freezer, and plug in your Ninja Creami machine! Time for the magic.
Remove the lid from the pint and grab the Ninja Creami outer bowl. Place the pint securely into the outer bowl and cover with the lid. Once the lid is on, place the outer bowl into the machine, twisting to the right until it locks into place. Press the "Ice Cream" button and (try to) wait patiently for the creamy treat coming your way.
Once the process is finished, press and hold the button on the left side of the Creami to twist the bowl to the left and remove it from the machine. Twist the lid off of the outer bowl and remove the pint.
Time for the mix-in!
Carve a hole down the center of the ice cream and add 4 crushed Oreos.
Place the pint back into the Creami and process on "Mix-In". Remove pint when finished.
Now your salted caramel Oreo ice cream is ready to enjoy!
