One of my favorite drinks to enjoy is a mojito. The lime, mint, and sweet flavors just pair so well together it's impossible to not like it!
That's why I decided to make one of my favorite drinks into a Ninja Creami sorbet recipe.
And since summer is approaching, I thought the quintessential summer fruit would pair perfectly with this combo: watermelon!
While you may not think watermelon would mix well with mojito flavors, think again. This watermelon mojito sorbet doesn't disappoint!
For a bit of background, a mojito is traditionally a drink with flavors of rum, lime, and mint. I've seen it served plain, or it can be spiced up with different fruit flavors! My favorite has been a strawberry mojito, but watermelon also is a top performer.
While I did add rum to this recipe to make it boozy, feel free to omit the rum! You can either forego the rum flavor altogether, or put in a bit of rum extract to get the full experience.
One of my favorite parts of this watermelon mojito sorbet is how easy it is to make! Just grab all the ingredients, puree in a blender, pour in a Ninja Creami pint and freeze.
One of the main ingredients is watermelon, and I decided to use fresh chunks. However, you could use frozen watermelon as well! Just make sure to thaw it a bit before pureeing.
So if you're looking for a new fruity sorbet, grab some watermelon, a Ninja Creami pint, and get spinning!
While the Ninja Creami is a machine with only 7 (or 11) buttons, it can still be intimidating! Here are a few tips and tricks Alex and I have picked up since beginning our ice cream journey with the Ninja Creami!

Cut fresh watermelon into cubes (removing seeds if preferred).
Add in 1/4 cup sugar, juice & zest of 1 lime, 2 tbsp white rum, and 1/8 cup coarsely chopped fresh mint.
Puree all ingredients together until smooth.
Pour the pureed mixture into the Ninja Creami pint, ensuring the liquid does not go over the max fill line.
Freeze the pint for 24 hours, making sure it is placed on a flat surface in the freezer.
After 24 hours, remove the pint from the freezer, and plug in your Ninja Creami machine! Time for the magic.
Remove the lid from the pint and grab the Ninja Creami outer bowl. Place the pint securely into the outer bowl and cover with the lid. Once the lid is on, place the outer bowl into the machine, twisting to the right until it locks into place. Press the "Sorbet" button and (try to) wait patiently for the creamy treat coming your way.
Once the process is finished, press and hold the button on the left side of the Creami to twist the bowl to the left and remove it from the machine. Twist the lid off of the outer bowl and remove the pint.
If the sorbet is crumbly, add a dash of milk (any type will work) into the pint and press the "Re-Spin" button.
Repeat until sorbet is the desired texture.
Now your watermelon mojito sorbet is ready to enjoy!
