I’ve always been drawn to grape-flavored items, and this Ninja Creami grape sorbet is no different!

It checks all of the boxes: easy to make and delicious to eat.

I’ve recently been on a kick of trying to turn any and every fruit into a sorbet with my Creami. Surprisingly, all of them have been successes!

This grape sorbet does take an extra ingredient to really spice up the grape flavor and make sure it really shines. The secret: adding grape juice into the mixture before freezing.

Now grape juice gets a bad rep because it’s full of sugar. That’s a true fact, so this sorbet may not be for those who are looking to watch their sugar intake. This is a full-on sugary masterpiece that tastes absolutely amazing.

One of my favorite ways of deciding what sorbet to make is seeing what’s on sale at the grocery store. Not only does it save me a bit of money, it pushes me to get creative and try new things I may not have thought I would like!

Grapes were on sale at my local Aldi and I knew I had to take the chance with grape sorbet in my Ninja Creami. It was a bit tricky since I felt grapes might not have as strong of a flavor as raspberries or strawberries (which we’ve previously used to create phenomenal sorbets)!

That’s why I decided to add a bit of grape juice. Anyone who’s had a sip of grape juice knows the flavor is strong with that juice.

So if you’re interested in making what could be your new favorite sorbet recipe, grab some grapes, a Ninja Creami pint, and get spinning!

First Time Using the Ninja Creami or Looking for Tips?

While the Ninja Creami is a machine with only 7 (or 11) buttons, it can still be intimidating! Here are a few tips and tricks Alex and I have picked up since beginning our ice cream journey with the Ninja Creami!

  • What should I do if my sorbet comes out crumbly after the first spin? I recommend adding a tablespoon of milk (any type will work) and re-spinning on Re-Spin. Repeat this process until you achieve the desired level of creaminess!
  • What button should I use to spin my sorbet? I recommend the “Sorbet” button (naturally). Since this mixture is almost all fruit, the sorbet setting will be the best option!
  • Do I need to re-spin my sorbet if I freeze it after spinning? I found the perfect way to enjoy sorbet another time is to let it sit on the counter for about 15 minutes, no spinning required. The wait is difficult, but it’s worth it!

Ninja Creami Grape Sorbet

Difficulty: Beginner Prep Time 5 mins Cook Time 5 mins Rest Time 24 hrs Total Time 24 hrs 10 mins
Servings: 1
Best Season: Suitable throughout the year

Description

Grape sorbet uses fresh grapes, grape juice, and a hint of sugar to create a perfectly sweet and flavorful sorbet!

To make this recipe in the Ninja Creami Deluxe, multiply all ingredients by 1.5

Note: 1 serving = 1 pint

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine 2 cups fresh grapes, 2/3 cup grape juice, and 1/8 cup granulated sugar.

  2. Pulse for around 10 seconds, or until the mixture is pureed.

  3. Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint, ensuring it does not go past the max fill line.

  4. Freeze the pint for 24 hours, making sure it is placed on a flat surface in the freezer.

  5. After 24 hours, remove the pint from the freezer, and plug in your Ninja Creami machine! Time for the magic.

Remove the lid from the pint and grab the Ninja Creami outer bowl. Place the pint securely into the outer bowl and cover with the lid. Once the lid is on, place the outer bowl into the machine, twisting to the right until it locks into place. Press the "Sorbet" button and (try to) wait patiently for the creamy treat coming your way.

  6. Once the process is finished, press and hold the button on the left side of the Creami to twist the bowl to the left and remove it from the machine. Twist the lid off of the outer bowl and remove the pint.

  7. Now your grape sorbet is ready to enjoy!
