Is there anything better than a fresh fruit sorbet on a hot summer day? Definitely not. This simple strawberry sorbet is an easy and refreshing treat that will be a new summertime favorite!
If you’ve never tried sorbet in the Ninja Creami, this is a great first-time sorbet recipe to start with. All it takes is fresh strawberries, sugar, and a little milk! Simple.
When I younger and would go to fancy restaurants, I always felt so sophisticated when I ordered sorbet for dessert. It seemed like the “classier ice cream”.
My favorite was always strawberry sorbet, as the flavor is sweet and refreshing (plus the red color was always pretty)! That’s why it was the first Ninja Creami sorbet Alex and I attempted.
We used fresh strawberries, but you can also use frozen berries. Just make sure to thaw them before pureeing them, that way they don’t damage the Creami blade!
One important note about the spinning process: it may require a re-spin. After spinning the sorbet the first time, it came out crumbly. We added a dash of milk and used the “Re-Spin” button to mix it again, and the texture after that was creamy and just what we were looking for!
So if you run into the same issue, just add a bit of milk and re-spin for the perfect texture.
This strawberry sorbet will be on repeat all summer (and winter) long, since it’s so delicious! So grab some strawberries, a Ninja Creami pint, and get spinning!
To Make Dairy-Free Strawberry Sorbet, Use the Following:
- 1 tbsp oat milk for 1 tbsp whole milk
First Time Using the Ninja Creami or Looking for Tips?
While the Ninja Creami is a machine with only 7 (or 11) buttons, it can still be intimidating! Here are a few tips and tricks Alex and I have picked up since beginning our ice cream journey with the Ninja Creami!
- Can I use frozen strawberries? Sure! You can let the frozen strawberries thaw and puree them. As long as they are able to be turned into a strawberry-liquid, they will work just as well as fresh strawberries!
- What button should I use to spin my sorbet? I recommend the “Sorbet” button (naturally). Since this mixture is almost all fruit, the sorbet setting will be the best option!
- My sorbet came out crumbly after my first spin. What should I do? Don’t worry! All you need to do is add a little bit of liquid and re-spin. We added a dash of milk, hit the “Re-Spin” button, and the texture came out perfect. Just repeat this method until you get the desired texture.
- Do I need to re-spin my sorbet if I freeze it after spinning? I’ve found that the easiest way to enjoy sorbet on the second day (or after a spun sorbet has been frozen again) is to let the pint sit on the counter for about 10 – 15 minutes. This will allow the sorbet to thaw and get back to that creamy texture we all love. However, if you decide to re-spin, the sorbet may be crumbly again, but you can fix that with a little milk and a re-spin!

Ninja Creami Strawberry Sorbet
Description
Strawberry sorbet uses fresh strawberries, sugar, and milk to create a delicious and refreshing creamy treat! This simple recipe will definitely be at the top of your new favorites list!
To make this recipe in the Ninja Creami Deluxe, multiply all ingredients by 1.5
Note: 1 serving = 1 pint
Ingredients
Instructions
Take 1 container of fresh strawberries and remove the tops of the strawberries.
Use a food processor to puree the strawberries.
Pour the pureed strawberries (approximately 2 cups) into the Ninja Creami pint, ensuring the liquid does not go over the max fill line.
Add 1/4 cup granulated sugar into the pint. Use a fork or whisk to stir.
Whisk in 1 tbsp whole milk, only if there is room in the pint (the mixture doesn't go above the max fill line).
Freeze the pint for 24 hours, making sure it is placed on a flat surface in the freezer.
After 24 hours, remove the pint from the freezer, and plug in your Ninja Creami machine! Time for the magic.
Remove the lid from the pint and grab the Ninja Creami outer bowl. Place the pint securely into the outer bowl and cover with the lid. Once the lid is on, place the outer bowl into the machine, twisting to the right until it locks into place. Press the "Sorbet" button and (try to) wait patiently for the creamy treat coming your way.
Once the process is finished, press and hold the button on the left side of the Creami to twist the bowl to the left and remove it from the machine. Twist the lid off of the outer bowl and remove the pint.
If the sorbet is crumbly, add a dash of whole milk into the pint and press the "Re-Spin" button.
Repeat until sorbet is the desired texture.
Now your strawberry sorbet is ready to enjoy!

If you don't like following recipes, don't worry - you can customize it however you want! We personally use oat milk and coconut cream to avoid most of the dairy, and it's some of the best ice cream we've ever had.

Isn’t a sorbet without dairy while a sherbert is with dairy, so technically this recipe is strawberry sherbert?
There isn’t really enough milk to give it that sherbet creamy texture, but if you want to call it sherbet that works too!
What is the purpose of the milk then?
It seems like it’s not really necessary if you say “only if there is room in the pint”
I found it helps a bit with creaminess but it can be made with or without it! All of my recipes are my favorite ways to make things and everyone can adjust for their own tastes!
